The story behind the sound
Born from roots.
Built for the world.
Daddy Chinee aka The Cross Over King is a Trinidadian/Tobagonian artist whose music crosses genres, cultures, and borders.
Three decades
in motion.
Born in Tobago and raised in Trinidad, Ricardo Melville started singing at 13 and made his professional debut at 18. From the first win at the Sangre Grande Soca Monarch to stages across the Caribbean, North America, and Europe, the journey has always been powered by persistence, positivity, and a rare connection with live crowds.
His mission is clear: create music that transcends racial and cultural boundaries and brings people together through rhythm.
The proof is part of the story
A career you
can see.
Competition wins, front pages, and the moments that turn a performer into a proven act.
